On 4th October 2022, the company signed a Contract with Kenya Rural Roads Authority(KeRRA), for the Design and Supervision of Climate Proofed Arid and Semi-Arid Lands(ASAL)- Area 1 covering Laikipia, Meru and Tharaka Nithi Counties. Instructions to commence the Services have been given and mobilization is going on. The duration of the contract is 60 months inclusive of 12 months of DNP . This project is financed by the French AFD and the EU.

During Quarter 1, 2022, the firm signed a Contract with Kenya Urban Roads Authority(KURA) for the provision of Independent Engineer Services and Supervision of the ; Development of 2000 km of Roads supporting Primary Growth Sectors through Contractor Facilitated Financing Mechanism (Phase 1) Lot 15limate Proofed Arid and Semi-Arid Lands(ASAL)- Area 1 covering Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Embu and Tharaka Nithi Counties. Instructions to commence the Services were given at the commencement of the Second Quarter 2022. The duration of the contract is 36 months inclusive of DNP.
Tender for; Review and Construction Supervision of the Multinational Horn of Africa Isiolo-Mandera Corridor, Lot 1: El Wak- Gari
The company in a JV with Newtech Consulting Group( RCG is the Lead Firm) has won the recent Tender for; Review and Construction Supervision of the Multinational Horn of Africa Isiolo-Mandera Corridor, Lot 1: El Wak- Gari, contract duration is 48 months inclusive of the DNP. This Project is financed by the African Development Bank and will add to our ongoing AfDB financed Kenol-Sagana. Signing ceremonies will be done within the month of October 2022.
Impromptu Site Visit by Principal Secretary Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Sanitation Mr. Joseph Irungu,
The PS Mr. Joseph Irungu made this impromptu to Yamo Dam construction site on 11 January 2021 to inspect the ongoing construction works. He was accompanied by Senior National Government and County Government delegation from various departments. He was received by the Resident Engineer from Runji Consulting Group, the consultant for the Project. The project is being implemented The Government of Kenya through by Northern Water Works Development Agency at a cost of Ksh 1.1Billion. The contractor for the Project, Hebei Water Conservancy and Hydropower (K) is currently undertaking the grouting works for the dam foundation.
The designed dam has a total storage volume of 1.50Mm3 and is expected to supply 6,160m3 daily to Maralal Town and its environs. Construction of the 26m high zoned rock fill dam with a clay core is expected to be completed by September, 2021. Yamo dam also has a hydro-power component and is expected to generate 15Kw.
The PS commended the project team for continued work on site despite financial challenges facing the Project. He promised to look into Project Funding Issue to ensure that the construction deadline is achieved.

Narrative description of Project: Dohwa Engineering Co. Ltd and Runji Consulting Group Ltd Joint Venture have been awarded the consultancy contract for the Design Review and Construction Supervision of the Kenol – Sagana (A2) Highway. The 48 Km project is part of the Kenol – Sagana – Marua Highway Improvement Project that forms part of the Great North Road that connects Tanzania and Ethiopia through Nairobi. The project is being financed by the AfDB at a cost of KES 8 billion and involves dualling of the Kenol-Sagana Segment of the corridor including a new 171m pre-stressed Bridge over River Tana and an interchange at Makutano. In addition to the main project road, the Consultant will design and supervise the construction of 20 Km of feeder roads, a multi-storey Trauma Centre at Sagana Hospital and roadside amenities to supplement the project value in the region.
