Who we are
Runji Consulting Group Limited is an experienced Indigenous Kenyan firm of Consulting Engineers, operating mainly in the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The company has a strong blend of technical and managerial expertise in the field of transportation, water and sanitation, structural engineering, renewable energy, electrical and mechanical engineering including diagnosis, planning, design, bidding and supervision works. The firm is to this date, a limited liability company with the majority shares held by the professional Engineers of the firm.
The firm is owned and managed by its directors and is independent of commercial organizations. The company is a member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), through the Association of the Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK). In order to broaden the scope of the services available to its clients, and to have the benefit of international experience, the firm maintains associations with large international consulting groups. These associations, secured by either long term or ad hoc agreements, provide, inter alia, for technical co-operation, interchange of staff and joint-venture activities, and they expose Runji Consulting Group to considerable experience and the latest developments in the industry. At the regional level, we maintain a close working relationship with our associated firms in Tanzania, Kampala, Uganda and Ethiopia. This regional collaboration is very central to the firm’s ability to undertake projects of the various disciplines in the countries of the EA community.

History
The Firms history begins in 1984, with establishment of a partnership Runji & Partners which in 1988 was incorporated into a private company with limited liability. In 2017 the firm rebranded to Runji Consulting Group. The firm specializes in undertaking Feasibility Studies, Preliminary and Detailed designs, Construction Supervision and Project Management of Civil Engineering Projects. The firm also offers procurement services to its clients in the implementation of development Projects. Runji Consulting Group is blessed with founders whose experience and professional services underpin the firm’s comprehensive and high quality assured engineering services to a wide spectrum of clients in both the public and private sectors.

Our Team
Runji Consulting Group employs a team of highly qualified specialist engineers and other professionals in complementary disciplines employing the latest state of art techniques in accomplishing the tasks at hand. The approaches to project execution are holistic thereby ensuring thorough execution of each stage of the project.
Human Resources are the most important Asset of any firm and the company employs and retains skilled professionals in the areas of its expertise. At the end of 2017, the firm had a total of 60 employees, majority being professional and sub-professional. In addition to the permanent staff, the firm maintains standing agreements with various external experts to ensure that relevant expertise is made available within the shortest possible period for contracted assignments.
The firm’s main office is located at No.3, Kindaruma Road (Off Ngong Road), Nairobi, Kenya; and has a floor of about 1,000 square metres and fully equipped.
The firm has carried out a variety of services for both public and private sectors including such organization as DANIDA, HABITAT, UNIDO, Kenya Government Ministries and Corporations, Municipalities & Urban authorities, Non-Governmental organizations, Co-operative movements, Public and private banks, Universities and Religious organizations. Some of the projects that the firm has carried out have been financed by Multilateral and/or bilateral funding agencies including the World Bank, African Development Bank, EU, SIDA, KfW, BADEA and Italian Co-operation.
